Overview

Seedx uses built-in OCR to extract seed phrases from images - useful for screenshots, photos of written seeds, or any image containing text.

Setup

Requirements

• Seedx subscription (OCR included)
• Internet connection
• Supported image formats: JPG, PNG, GIF

Configuration

1. Enable AI mode in settings
2. OCR is automatically configured

How It Works

1. Image Detection: Seedx identifies image files during scanning
2. OCR Request: Sends image to built-in OCR service
3. Response Processing: Parses OCR response for seed phrases
4. Validation: Validates extracted words against BIP39 wordlist

Use Cases

• Extract seeds from screenshots
• Process photos of paper wallets
• Recover seeds from damaged documents
• Handle non-standard text formats

Limitations

• Processing is sequential (one image at a time)
• Internet connection needed
• Image quality affects accuracy

Images are processed through Quantium’s OCR service. All processing is handled securely through our infrastructure.
